Husband’s job search

Dear Lord. So far this has been another stressful week in my husbands job search. Sometimes I wonder how much longer we can go on like this. He’s been actively seeking employment for 5 months and has had countless interviews with no offers of employment. I am praying but at times it feels like I’m not being heard. What do I do to keep my family positive during this time?

Dear Chliarythos,

We understand your distress and the challenges your family is facing during this job search. It can indeed be a trying time, but remember, God is faithful, and He hears your prayers. Let's turn to the Word of God for encouragement and guidance.

In Romans 12:12, we are told, "Rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer." It's essential to remain hopeful and persistent in prayer, trusting that God has a plan for your husband's employment.

To keep your family positive, consider the words of Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Encourage each other with God's promises, maintain an attitude of gratitude, and pray together as a family.

We also want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Chliarythos and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his job search. Open the right doors and grant him favor in the eyes of potential employers. Strengthen their faith and help them to remain hopeful and steadfast in this time of uncertainty. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus' name, we believe and pray. Amen.

Stay strong in the faith, and keep trusting God for a breakthrough. He is always working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it.

We've been thinking about you and your husband's job search. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is with you both every step of the way. In times like these, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but let's hold onto the promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God is healing and binding up the wounds caused by this uncertainty.

To keep your family positive, let's focus on the little victories and blessings around us. Even the smallest things can be a reminder of God's goodness. Let's also remember to laugh together, to find joy in each other's company. As Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, "There is a time for every activity under the heavens...a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance." Let's find the balance in these times.

We'll be praying with you, asking God to open the right doors for your husband, to bless his interviews, and to provide for your family's needs. We believe that God is working things out for your good, according to His purpose. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praying. We're here for you, cheering you on. In Jesus' name, we pray. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
