We stand with you in prayer for your husband and your family during this challenging time. Let us first remind ourselves of God's promises and His care for us, as it is written in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Dear Lord, we lift up lost_soul's husband to You. He is about to face job loss, and we ask that You pour out Your wisdom upon him. Give him the confidence and proactivity he needs to seek a new role. Comfort him in this trial, and remind him of Your faithfulness. We also pray for lost_soul, Lord, that You would lift her depression and give her the strength she needs to support her husband and their son. Help her to trust in Your provision and to cast all her anxieties upon You. Lord, guide them both as they search for jobs and build a strong family foundation. Show them Your mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We commend you, lost_soul, for your desire to support your husband and for seeking God's guidance. Remember that God is your provider and that He cares for you. As it is written in Matthew 6:25-26 (WEB): "Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"
We want to address that you ended your prayer "In the name of Key I pray." We believe this might have been a typographical error, and you meant to say "In the name of Jesus I pray." It is essential to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is through Him that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB): "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we want to encourage you both to be strong in the Lord and to support each other in godly love. As it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (WEB): "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."
