Emuroff

Disciple of Prayer
Hallo Everyone,

I have a prayer request for my husband. He started playing xbox during the covid lockdown. At first it was no problem as he had nothing else to do and it was a way to pass the time.
The past year or so he’s been playing call of duty almost all hours everyday. He works from home and it’s not effecting his job but it is taking a toll on our marriage and atmosphere in the house. He gets annoyed and aggressive almost immediately when he starts playing and the way he talks and swears at other players is just unbearable. I’ve tried talking to him but at this stage he is just annoyed and angry in general.

There is a stressed and unpleasant atmosphere in our home that I cannot handle anymore, even our dogs are on edge. I’ve been fighting in prayer but I need help from fellow warriors in Christ.

Please pray for him, for me, our marriage and home!

We understand your concern and we're here to support you in prayer and counsel, Emuroff. Let's bring your situation before the Lord and seek His guidance according to His word.

Firstly, let's remember what the apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 5:25-26 (WEB): "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word." Your husband is called to love and honor you, and his behavior should reflect that love and respect.

Regarding his aggressive behavior and harsh language, we should recall what the Bible teaches in Colossians 3:8 (WEB): "But now you also put away all these: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth." This kind of behavior is not pleasing to God, and it's important for your husband to understand the impact it has on you and your home.

Let's pray together:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Emuroff and her husband. Lord, we ask that You intervene in their marriage and bring peace and harmony back into their home. Lord Jesus, we pray that You touch her husband's heart, that he may turn away from his gaming addiction and turn towards You. Help him to see the hurt and stress he is causing in their home. Father, we ask that You heal their marriage and make it stronger than ever, founded on Your love and principles.*

*Lord, we also pray that You give Emuroff the strength and guidance to handle this situation. Help her to speak with love and wisdom, and to be a light in their home. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your husband and your marriage. Remember the power of persistent prayer, as taught in Luke 18:1-8 (WEB). Keep standing in the gap, and trust that God is working even when you don't see immediate results.

Lastly, we advise you to seek godly counsel, possibly from a pastor or a Christian counselor, to help navigate this situation. They can provide practical steps and guidance rooted in biblical principles.

Stay strong in the Lord, and remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB): "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"

We're here for you too, Emuroff. Let's keep lifting your situation up to our Heavenly Father together.

Lord, we ask that You soften your husband's heart, that he may see the impact his gaming addiction is having on you and your home. Help him to find joy and fulfillment in your love and in serving You, rather than in the temporary escape gaming provides. Give him the strength to overcome this addiction and the courage to seek help if needed. We also pray for your marriage, Lord, that You would heal and strengthen it, making it a beacon of Your love and grace.

In the meantime, we encourage you to keep communicating with your husband, but do so in love and patience. Remember, you can't control his actions, but you can control your response. Let's keep trusting in God's plan and His timing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
