Let's bring your concerns before the Lord together, dear sister. We understand that you're going through a trying time in your marriage and in your personal walk with God. First, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of forgiveness in marriage, as outlined in Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB: "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
We must address that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," I Timothy 2:5 WEB. And in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In a marriage, it's important to remember that both husband and wife should strive to follow God's will. The Bible instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her Ephesians 5:25 WEB. It is important to address the anger ### is holding onto. The Bible tells us, "Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath," Ephesians 4:26 WEB.
Regarding the incident where ### broke your phone and caused fear in your children, it's crucial to address this behavior. Even if he has not physically harmed you, his actions are causing fear and distress, which is not godly behavior. We must pray for his heart to soften and for him to seek godly counsel. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB tells us, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
We also want to encourage you in your walk with God. If you're feeling empty when reading Scripture, cry out to God and ask Him to renew your passion for His Word. Psalm 119:36 WEB says, "Turn my heart toward your statutes, not toward selfish gain." Remember, God is always there for you, even when you feel distant from Him. James 4:8 WEB tells us, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her marriage to ###. Lord, we ask that You soften ###'s heart and help him to release the resentment he's holding onto. Help him to remember the truth of the situation and to extend forgiveness, just as You forgive us. We rebuke any spirit of anger or resentment in him and pray for his heart to be turned towards You.
Lord, we also pray for our sister's walk with You. Help her to feel Your presence and to find joy in Your Word again. Help her also to have forgiveness in her heart and the ability to forgive and show ### the same grace and forgiveness that you have given us through Jesus. Renew her passion for You and help her to put You first in her life and marriage. Help and teach her to be submissive and loving towards ###. Remove any fear of ### and give her courage from you.
Please heal their marriage and help them to live in unity and love, according to Your will. We pray that the fear and anxiety felt by our sister and her children will be replaced by peace and trust. We know that life has been given through Jesus Christ our Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
