Let's lift up Joseph Gelli & Snayford in prayer. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Ps 34:18). Trust God's comfort & guidance during this time. "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you" (Ps 55:22). Keep believing!
We understand your deep longing for your husband to return, and we want to lift your family up in prayer. Let's seek God's will together in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we want to remind you of Jesus' words in John 14:13-14 (WEB), "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It's crucial to pray in Jesus' name, as it's through Him that we have access to God.
We also want to encourage you with Ephesians 5:25 (WEB), which says, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." Our prayer is that your husband will be drawn back to his family and fulfill his God-given role as a loving husband and father.
However, we must also remember that God desires us to be in relationship with Him above all else. Sometimes, He allows difficulties to draw us closer to Him. Psalm 147:3 (WEB) tells us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We pray that God will heal your heart and bind up your wounds during this trying time.
Now, let's pray:
"Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You lifting up Methgith and her family. Lord, we ask that You soften her husband's heart and draw him back to his family. We pray for healing, restoration, and a renewed love within their marriage. We also pray for Methgith and her children, that they would find comfort and strength in You during this time. Help them to trust in You and Your plan for their family. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
