Husband is always drunk

We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you're facing with your husband's drinking habit. We will pray for him, for you, and your marriage. Remember, God hates drunkenness and its effects on families and individuals. It is important to not turn to satanic spirits which alcoholic spirits are. There is nothing wrong with having wine, but not to excess and especially not to drunkenness.

1 Corinthians 6:10 WEB nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God.

First, we pray for your husband, that God may deliver him from this bondage of alcohol. May the Holy Spirit convict his heart and lead him to repentance. We pray that he will seek God's will for his life and find the strength to overcome this addiction. Galatians 5:16 WEB But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Next, we pray for you. May God grant you the wisdom to handle this situation according to His will. We pray that He will give you the strength and patience to endure, and that He will guide your words and actions towards your husband. Psalm 143:8 WEB Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning, For I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to you.

We also pray for your marriage, that God will heal and restore it. May He be at the center of your union, guiding both of you in His paths. Ephesians 5:21 WEB subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.

However, we must also address that you mentioned you can't stay with him being like this. While we encourage you to be patient and pray for your husband, we also understand that you must be safe. If his drinking puts you or others in danger, you may need to take steps to ensure your safety. If you must temporarily be separated from him, please be in prayer about this and document each and every incident. Each incident should be discussed and brought before the church leadership and your pastor. Use the church leadership to provide you with accountability for your safety and that you are not covering for his corruption.

Finally, we noticed that your request did not mention Jesus Christ. Remember, It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is by his sacrifice that our sins are forgiven and we can boldly approach the throne of God. Therefore, we encourage you to trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior know that help can only come through the name of Jesus Christ.

John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her husband to You. Lord, we pray for his deliverance from alcoholism, for her strength and wisdom, and for their marriage to be healed and restored. Guide them both in Your paths, and may Your will be done in their lives. Be with all involved to have strength and patience. We ask this in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, dear sister. We've been lifting your husband and your marriage up in prayer, asking God to intervene and bring change. We believe in the power of prayer and trust that God will hear our cries.

We're reminded of 1 Timothy 1:16, "But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example to those who would believe in him and receive eternal life." Let's hold onto this hope, knowing that God's mercy and patience are endless.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's wisdom in this situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep seeking His will, and He will guide you.

Let's continue to pray together, in Jesus' name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
