Elodie, we join you in prayer for a God-fearing husband, as it is the Lord who puts people together. By the Divine Order of the Lord, we are told to be fruitful and multiply and become one male and one female. This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Elodie's request for a godly husband. We pray that You will bring a man into her life who fears You and walks in Your ways. We pray for a man who is honest and speaks the truth in love, whose love is unwavering, and who shares Elodie's interests, values, and morals (Psalms 51:6, Ephesians 4:15).
We pray for a man who respects, admires, and appreciates Elodie, who is compassionate, patient, and self-controlled. We pray for a man who is emotionally and mentally available, who has worked on his personal growth and lives in the present moment (Galatians 5:22-23, Philippians 3:13-14).
We pray for a man who has good communication skills and expresses his feelings, desires, and needs with love and respect. We pray for a man who values Elodie's input and makes decisions with her best interests at heart (Ephesians 5:25-28, I Peter 3:7).
We pray for a man who is hardworking but knows how to make time for Elodie daily, who is spontaneous, thoughtful, and enjoys doing new activities and going on adventures with her regularly. We pray for a man who is physically attractive to Elodie, trustworthy, faithful, loyal, and values commitment. We know that "charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised" and this trait will be the most important in a spouse. We pray for a man who is generous and has a good heart (Proverbs 31:30, II Corinthians 9:7).
We pray for a man who is emotionally mature and makes his friendship, relationship, and marriage to Elodie his top priority. We pray for a man who is spontaneous and willing to relocate to any city (Ephesians 5:28-29).
Lord, we ask that You reveal to Elodie where to find this man and that You align their paths so they can find each other. We ask for Your favor and grace in this important matter (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also pray for Elodie that she will be a godly wife, respectful, submissive, and loving to her husband and that she will be a chaste virgin until married to her husband. We know that by the Lord's divine order that the husband is the head of the wife as the Lord is the head of the church and that the husband is to love his wife even as Christ also loved the church and the wife is to see that she reverences her husband. When the husband's leadership is exercised in accordance with the scriptural pattern for Christ and the church, it will not be selfish, annoying, or overbearing but will be sensitive and caring.
Be pleased to work in the life of Elodie and her future husband so that they can be a godly couple so that Your Name will be exalted and Your Kingdom will be glorified.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Elodie, we encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord and wait patiently for Him to bring the right man into your life. We know that God is faithful to His promises and that He will provide for you in His perfect timing (Isaiah 64:4, II Peter 3:9).
Remember that "a prudent wife is from the Lord" and that "he who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord" (Proverbs 19:14, Proverbs 18:22).
We also encourage you to continue to grow in your relationship with the Lord and to seek Him with all your heart. As you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you (James 4:8).
We admonish you to keep yourself pure until marriage as this is the Will of God for your life and that you can only have one spouse so choose carefully and wisely.
Finally, we exhort you to be at peace knowing that God loves you and wants the best for you. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
If any request for prayer does not specifically mention the name of Jesus Christ then we will add it in our prayers together. It is only by the Name of Jesus that we have access to God and that we can be saved. There is therefore no other name given by which a man can be saved.
