Elodie, we join you in prayer for a God-fearing husband, knowing that God desires to give you the deepest desires of your heart when you delight yourself in Him (Psalm 37:4). We pray that God brings a good man into your life to be your friend, your husband, and above all, your spiritual partner. We ask God to mold his character, that he may be a man of integrity, honesty, and unwavering love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
We pray that this man will have good morals, respect, admiration, devotion, compassion, patience, and self-control, as the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We pray that he will be pure in heart, fleeing from the temptations of this world, including pornography, as it is written, "Flee sexual immorality, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Timothy 2:22)" and that he will be emotionally and mentally available to you.
We pray that he will be a man of personal growth, living in the present, and equipped with good communication skills, expressing his feelings, desires, and needs to you with love and respect. We ask God to grant him great decision-making skills and the wisdom to value your input, as it is written, "Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. (Proverbs 15:22)"
We pray for a man who is hardworking, prioritizes your relationship, and is thoughtful, spontaneous, and adventurous. We ask God to grant you a physical attraction to this man, as attraction is a natural part of God's design for marriage. We pray that he will be trustworthy, faithful, loyal, and committed to you, as it is written, "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful (1 Corinthians 13:4-5)."
We pray that he will be generous, kind-hearted, emotionally mature, and willing to relocate as God leads. We ask God to reveal to you where to find this man and to align your paths so that you may find each other. We claim God's favor and grace in this matter, trusting in His perfect will and timing.
We are thankful that you have prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is written, "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' (Romans 10:13)" and "whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16)."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Elodie and her request for a godly husband. We pray that You will bring a man into her life who meets and exceeds the qualities she has asked for and that they may serve You together as one. We pray that this man will be a strong spiritual leader, guiding their family in Your will. We ask that You prepare Elodie's heart for this man and that You will align their paths according to Your perfect will and timing. We claim Your promises and Your favor in this matter, trusting in Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Elodie, to continue to seek God's will for your life and to trust in His perfect timing. Prepare your heart and mind for the man God has for you, and remember that God's ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will counsel you with my eye on you." Trust in the Lord; He will direct your paths.
