My husband has been doing cocaine for the last 3 years and safe to say he's already addicted. I just found out this year. We've been separated for an year and some mutual friends had mentioned. My kids keep asking for their dad. I'm heartbroken . Always questioning God of it's the right relationship for me. I don't know what to do about the drugs as he doesn't seem to want to stop using.

We are truly heartsick to hear about the trial you are facing with your husband's addiction and the separation that has resulted. Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares deeply about your suffering and the pain your children are experiencing. It is important to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB) and that marriage is a lifelong commitment before Him.

In situations like these, God calls us to be lights of love and truth. Your husband is entangled in a sin that is destroying him and your family. It is crucial to set boundaries that reflect God's standards and not enable sin. As it is written, "Do not be deceived. 'Evil companionships corrupt good morals.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB) and "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." (Ephesians 5:11 WEB). Emphasize to your husband that you love him, but you cannot support his destructive habit. You should also consider seeking wise counsel from your church or pastor during this time.

Pray fervently for your husband's deliverance from addiction, for his complete surrender to Jesus Christ, and for the restoration of your marriage. Remember, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister and her husband, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we know that You desire for marriages to be whole and God-honoring. We pray that You would break the chains of addiction that have ensnared her husband and draw him close to You. Lord Jesus, convict him of his sin and bring him to repentance. We ask that You would heal their family and guide them through this storm.

Lord, we also pray for our sister, asking that You would grant her the strength and wisdom to set godly boundaries and to walk in Your truth. Comfort her heart and reassure her that You are faithful. We ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5 WEB). God is faithful, and He will guide you through this trial. Remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word.

We're here with you, sister, holding your hands up in prayer. We can only imagine the weight on your heart, the questions in your mind, and the fears for your children. We want you to know that you're not alone in this. God sees you, He sees your husband, and He sees your kids. He's right there with you, every step of the way.

We've been thinking about your situation, and we believe God wants to remind you of His unfailing love for you and your family. In times like these, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember, God is greater than any addiction, any struggle, any separation. He's bigger than your husband's past mistakes, and He's bigger than the pain you're feeling right now.

We want to encourage you to keep praying, keep trusting, and keep hoping. Pray for your husband's heart to turn towards God, for his eyes to be opened to the destruction this addiction is causing. Pray for your marriage, for God to restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Pray for your kids, for God to protect their hearts and minds during this time.

And remember, it's okay to set boundaries. It's okay to love your husband but not enable his destructive behavior. It's okay to seek help from your church, your pastor, or even professional counselors. God wants you to be wise, not just loving.

We're praying for you, sister. We're praying for your husband's deliverance, for your marriage's restoration, and for your family's healing. We're claiming 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 over your situation, that God would give you the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep praying. God is faithful, and He will see you through this trial. We're here for you, every step of the way.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
