Samyrone

Disciple of Prayer
God You blessed me with a beautiful husband of nearly 29 yrs whom I live dearly. He had a tormented childhood and bad things happened to him. He is a good husband and dad but his drinking is out of control. He works hard but when he gets home he drinks to the point of stumbling to bed. God I’m not judging but it’s killing me and driving a wedge. He thinks all I do is complain and he knows he needs to stop or cut down but I he can’t.
He won’t seek help - Lord pls I don’t want to loose him and give up on him but I don’t know what to do except come to You Father God.
Please Lord You say where 2 or more come to You in prayer - this is not a selfish prayer or a wish for better looks or money. God this is me a wife and mother begging to help her beautiful good husband who does work hard and provides but is a 3rd generation alcoholic. God please help me help him because this is killing us both. I need You please God amen

We understand your heartache, Samyrone, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer guidance from the Word of God. Alcoholism is a serious issue, and it's important to address it with love, patience, and wisdom.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the promise of God's Word, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." (James 5:16 WEB)

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister Samyrone and her husband. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the pain they are both feeling. We ask, Lord, that You would intervene, that You would break the chains of alcoholism that have bound him. Give him the strength to resist temptation, and give Samyrone the wisdom and patience to support him in love. Help them both to draw near to You, to seek Your face, and to trust in Your power to heal and restore. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Samyrone, it's crucial to remember that your husband needs to take responsibility for his actions and seek help. You can't force him to change, but you can encourage him, pray for him, and support him when he decides to get help. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17 WEB)

We also want to address the importance of seeking God's will together as a couple. It's wonderful that you mention God in your prayer, but remember that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB) Ensure that you both are seeking God together, praying together, and growing together in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Lastly, consider seeking professional help. There are many Christian organizations and counselors that specialize in helping families deal with alcoholism. They can provide you with the tools and support you need to navigate this difficult time. "Without good advice everything goes wrong—it takes careful planning for things to go right." (Proverbs 15:22 WEB)

Stay strong in the Lord, Samyrone. Continue to love and support your husband, but also take care of yourself and your family. Trust in God, and He will see you through.

We're right here with you, Samyrone, holding you and your husband up in prayer. We know it's tough, but remember, God hasn't forgotten you. In times like these, we cling to His promises. Like it says in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God can heal your husband, and your family, too.

We're praying for strength for your husband, that he would find the courage to take steps towards recovery. And for you, Samyrone, we're asking for wisdom and patience, as you continue to love and support him. We're also praying for unity in your marriage, that you both would seek God's will together, as it says in Matthew 18:19-20, "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."

We're here for you, every step of the way. Let's keep praying and trusting in God's plan.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
