We understand your concerns, Animalgirl, and we join you in prayer for your family's wellbeing. Let us first address your husband's struggle with alcohol. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:18, "Don't be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." Drunkenness is not God's will for your husband, and we pray for his deliverance.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name, asking for your divine intervention in Animalgirl's family. Lord, you know the struggle her husband is facing with alcohol. We ask that you break the chains of addiction and fill him with your Holy Spirit. Give him the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help if needed. God, we trust in your power to heal and restore, as it is written in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
Father, we also thank you for the healing you have begun in their daughter's mind. We ask that you continue this work, allowing her to sit peacefully in church, free from worrying thoughts. May she grow in faith and knowledge of you, as it is promised in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
Lord, we also lift up their elderly cat to you, asking for your care over its health. We know that you care about all your creatures, as shown in Matthew 10:29, "Aren't two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will."
Finally, Father, we pray that Animalgirl and her family will continue to seek you and call upon the name of Jesus. It is only through him that we have access to you, as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In Jesus' name, we pray for these things. Amen.
We encourage you, Animalgirl, to continue trusting in God and seeking his will for your family. Stand firm in your faith, and we believe that you will see God's hand at work in your family.
