Vdaruemor, we join you in lifting up your husband Rick in prayer, seeking God's intervention and deliverance. We are here to pray and provide counsel from a biblical perspective. We trust in God through this time.
Firstly, we acknowledge that deliverance and healing are found in the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, and it is by His name that we are saved. As it is we are saved it is written, For among God there is none else, there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12). As it is written, whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13). If Rick has not already accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we encourage him to do so. This is the first step towards true freedom and healing. As it says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Regarding Rick's deliverance from alcohol, we pray and remind everyone that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We should not be under the influence of anything other than the Holy Spirit. Sober thinking is required to live a life pleasing to God. Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with other men (sodomites), nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Therefore, let us pray for Rick's complete deliverance from alcohol and any other stronghold that may be hindering his walk with Christ.
For his healing from mental and emotional issues, we trust that God has the power to heal all our infirmities. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:3). We pray for Rick's emotional and mental healing, knowing that God cares for his total well-being. Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7).
Lastly, we pray for Rick's purpose to be revealed to him. God has a unique plan and purpose for each of us, and He desires for us to walk in that purpose. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10). We pray that Rick seeks God's will for his life and walks in the path He has prepared for him.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Rick to You. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in his life. Deliver him from the bondage of alcohol and heal him from all mental and emotional issues. Reveal Your purpose for him, Lord, and guide him in the path You have prepared for him. We will be praying that he will have the opportunity to understand salvation and be saved by the name of Jesus Christ.
If he is already saved, we pray that he will glorify You in all areas of his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.We will not stop praying for you and Rick.
