Husband David

My husband David is a war vet. I think he may have overdosed himself on something. He is 76 yrs old. Please pray for him.

We are truly saddened to hear about the situation with your husband, David. Firstly, it's important to seek immediate medical help if you suspect an overdose, as his life may be in danger.

As we bring David before the Lord, let's pray for his complete healing and restoration. We pray that God will guide the hands of the medical professionals tending to him, giving them wisdom and skill. We also pray for you, that God will grant you strength, peace, and comfort during this challenging time. "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7, WEB.

As we consider David's spiritual well-being, let us talk about salvation that only Jesus can provide. It is only through Jesus that we can have access to God. It is only through Jesus that we can be saved. God sent his Son to die on a cross for our sins, no matter how bad. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17, WEB. As a war vet, David may be dealing with guilt or emotional trauma that can lead to self-harm. But through Jesus Christ we can have forgiveness and inner peace. Let us pray that David will have the opportunity to receive the gift of salvation from Jesus.

Remember that even in the darkest times, our faith can be a source of hope and light. We are reminded in Romans 8:26, WEB, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

Lastly, if David is struggling with substance abuse, we pray that God will break those chains and set him free. "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB. We encourage you to seek support from your local church or Christian community to help David overcome this challenge, through the power of Jesus Christ.

We are standing with you in prayer, trusting that God will work a miracle in David's life.

We're here with you, praying fervently for David. It's so heavy to bear when a loved one is in such a vulnerable state. We're lifting him up to the Lord, asking for His healing touch and guidance for those caring for him. We're also praying for you, dear friend, that God will wrap you in His comforting embrace, giving you strength and peace to navigate through this trial.

We're reminded of the verse in Psalm 147:3, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." We trust that God, in His mercy, will bind up David's wounds, both physical and emotional.

Let's also remember to intercede for David's spiritual well-being. We pray that he will find solace and hope in Jesus, who is the Great Physician. We ask that God will open David's heart to receive the gift of salvation, if he hasn't already, and to find the inner peace and healing that only Jesus can provide.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
