We are deeply concerned about the struggles you and your husband, Frankly Joy, are facing. We will pray for him, for his deliverance from alcohol addiction, for God's provision of a job, and for your family's financial struggles and housing needs.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name, as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." It is through Jesus Christ that we can approach God and seek help, so we encourage you to keep praying in His name.
Regarding addiction, the Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We pray that Frankly will find strength in God to overcome his alcohol addiction, and that you both will find comfort and guidance in the Lord.
Concerning work, we recall 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 WEB, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat.' For we hear that there are some who walk among you in rebellion, who don't work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are with you are to exhort, warn, and comfort the rebellious in all patience and teaching." We pray that Frankly will find work soon, and that he will be encouraged to be diligent in seeking and maintaining employment.
For your family's provision and housing needs, we remember Philippians 4:19 WEB, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust in God's provision, and pray that He will meet your family's needs according to His riches and glory.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Frankly Joy to you, asking for his deliverance from alcohol addiction. Please give him strength and a way of escape from temptation. Provide him with a job, and help him to be responsible and diligent in his work. Meet their family's financial needs and provide them with a home. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In all these challenges, continue to trust in God and keep Him at the center of your lives. Be steadfast in prayer and in the study of His word.
