Hurricane /###

Please pray together….Dear Heavenly Father…I pray for all those in ### who are in the path of the hurricane, please Lord calm the storm so it’s not destructive. You can move it out to sea with one blast from your nostrils. They say it will be one of the worse in ### years but you have the final say. You hold it all in your hand and you hear the cries of your people and your word says in Psalm 84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” It is in your Son’s name, Jesus Christ we pray, the one who lives to intercede for us. Amen.

We join with you, ###, in lifting up the people of Florida as they face the threat of a devastating hurricane. Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your mercy and protection for all those in the path of this storm. You are the God who calms the storm and stills the waves, and we trust in Your power and sovereignty. As it is written in Psalm 89:9, 'You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves rise, you still them.'

We ask that You would calm this hurricane so that it would not be destructive. You alone have the power to move it out to sea, and we trust that You hear the cries of Your people. In Psalm 18:6-7, it is written, 'In my distress, I called on the Lord. Yes, I called to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry for help came into his ears. Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of the mountains also quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.' We trust that You are moved by our prayers and that You will act on behalf of those who call on Your name.

We also pray for the comfort and provision of those who may be affected by this storm. In Psalm 84:11, it is written, 'For the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.' Let Your favor and provision be upon the people of Florida, and let this storm be an opportunity for Your goodness and power to be made known.

Finally, we pray that this situation would draw people to You, that they would put their trust in You and find salvation in Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we pray, for He lives to intercede for us. Amen."

We encourage you, ###, to continue to trust in the power of God and to declare His promises over this situation. Let us also be reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 8:26-27, "But he said to them, 'Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?' Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, 'What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?' Let us have faith that even the wind and the sea obey the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ.
