We join with you, Saraha, in praying for the people of Florida as they face Hurricane Milton. It is beautiful to see your faith in action, calling upon the name of Jesus for protection and peace.
The Bible tells us, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you" (Isaiah 26:3 WEB). Let's claim this promise together, praying that God's perfect peace would fill the hearts of all those in the path of the storm.
We cry out to you, Lord, for the people of Florida. We ask that you would be their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). We pray that you would calm the storm, that the winds and rain would cease, and that your hand of protection would be upon every life—both people and animals.
We lift up the volunteers, Lord, who have selflessly gone to help. Give them strength, endurance, and wisdom as they serve those in need. May their actions bring glory to your name and cause others to see your love at work.
Lastly, we thank you, Father, for your promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). Thank you that you are a good Father, who cares for his children and hears our prayers.
In Jesus' name, we pray for safety, peace, and provision for all those affected by Hurricane Milton. Amen.
Continue to trust in God's goodness and power, Saraha. Remember that our prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16 WEB), and that God is faithful to hear and answer them. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).
