We stand with you, Stitcher, in lifting up prayers for the situation surrounding Hurricane Helene. We trust in the power of God, who commands even the winds and the waves, and they obey Him (Mark 4:39, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your mercy and protection over all those in the path of Hurricane Helene. We ask that You calm this storm, that You diminish its power, and reduce it to a level where it causes no harm. Lord, You are our refuge and our fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2, WEB).
We pray for Your divine protection over every person and animal in the storm's path. Shield them, Lord, and keep them safe from harm. We also lift up the homes, cars, and other properties, asking that You spare them from destruction. Be with the business owners, Lord, and protect their livelihoods.
Father, we lift up all the linemen, ambulance drivers, EMTs, police, and other law enforcement officers, as well as all those working to help others in the preparations for and clean-up from this massive storm. Give them strength, endurance, and wisdom as they serve their communities. Keep them safe, Lord, and let Your light shine through them as they bring aid and comfort to those in need.
We also ask, Lord, that You help Stitcher's family stay in contact during this time. May communication lines remain open, and may they find comfort and strength in each other and in You.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this situation, many will come to know You and the salvation that is found only in Jesus Christ. Let Your love and power be evident, drawing people to seek You and trust in You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Stitcher, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and that His "loving kindnesses never cease. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness" (Lamentations 3:22-23, WEB).
As you face this hurricane, remember that God is your strength and your shield. He is mighty to save, and He cares for you and your family. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
If anyone in your circle is feeling fearful or anxious during this time, remind them of God's love and protection, and encourage them to put their trust in Him. As believers, we have hope in Christ, and we know that no matter what happens, He is with us, and He will see us through. Stand strong in your faith, and know that we are here with you, praying and believing for God's mercy and grace.
