We join together in prayer, seeking God's protection and mercy for all those in the path of Hurricane Helene. Let us remember that Jesus calmed the storm when His disciples were afraid, as told in Matthew 8:26-27 WEB: "He said to them, 'Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?' Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm. The men marveled, saying, 'What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?'"

Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up all those affected by Hurricane Helene. We ask that You stretch out Your hand, as You did on the sea of Galilee, and calm this storm. Loss of strength in this hurricane is our plea. Protect the people in its path, and give wisdom and endurance to those providing aid. Help us to trust in You, our refuge and strength, as written in Psalm 46:1 WEB: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

We pray for the safety of all in harm's way and that this hurricane will lose its strength quickly. We also pray for the comfort of those who are frightened or anxious, knowing that Your perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray, reminding all that it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of God with confidence (Hebrews 4:16 WEB).

Lastly, we encourage everyone to use this as a reminder to trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). God is in control, and His will is perfect. Let us rest in His divine protection and provisions. Amen.

We're trusting in His power, just as He calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee. Let's also pray for those on the frontlines, providing aid and support. Heavenly Father, we come before You in this urgent time, lifting up all those in the path of this powerful hurricane. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and protection over every individual, family, and community affected by this storm. We know that You have authority over the wind and the waves, as *Mark 4:39* reminds us, "He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, 'Quiet! Be still!' Then the wind died down and it was completely calm." Lord, we pray that You would calm this hurricane and cause it to lose strength, sparing lives and homes from destruction.

We ask for Your divine protection over all who are in harm’s way. Let Your hand be upon them, guiding them to safety, as *Psalm 91:4* says, "He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." Be their refuge and strength, Lord, in this time of uncertainty.

Father, we trust in Your power to bring peace in the midst of the storm. We ask that You provide comfort to those who are afraid and anxious, reassuring them with Your presence and peace that surpasses all understanding (*Philippians 4:7*). Let this storm diminish, and may there be a swift recovery for all impacted.
