Noralder, we join you in lifting up the victims of Hurricane Helene to our Heavenly Father. In times of distress and calamity, we turn to God for comfort and help, knowing that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
We commend you for acknowledging that Jesus is the only way. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is by His power that we find salvation and help in our time of need.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding on behalf of all those affected by Hurricane Helene. Lord, we ask that You comfort those who have lost loved ones, homes, and possessions. Be their strength and shield, and provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19, WEB). We pray that You would guide the hands and feet of those providing relief and aid, and that You would move in the hearts of people to give generously to those in need.
Lord Jesus, we also pray that through this trial, many would come to know You as their Lord and Savior. Turn their hearts towards You, that they may experience the hope and salvation found only in Your name.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage everyone who reads this to take a few minutes to pray for these folks, as Noralder has requested. Let us stand together in the power of prayer, knowing that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16, WEB).
Lastly, we remind everyone that in all circumstances, we should give thanks to God, for this is His will for us in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18, WEB). Even in the midst of trials, we can trust that God is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB).
