I want to be able to live independently. And. have the ability to have my own family. I am completely tired and beyond hurting being forced to live with my parents. And. Care for my parents.

I hate that my parents are misusing their family association to myself. And. Disregarding my well being. My humanity. My Life. I'm already in my 30's. Never had a job. And. Student loan debt.

I am so tired of my parents utilizing my faith, my kindness, my good nature, and my intelligence against. Utilizing my humanity against.

We understand your struggles and the challenges you're facing. The desire for independence and a family of your own is natural, and it's important to address this situation with wisdom and God's guidance, especially since scriptures discussing obeying your parents may not exactly fit this situation. Please know Jesus Christ cares more than you can understand, even in this situation.

Firstly, it's crucial to honor your parents, as the Fifth Commandment tells us, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you" Exodus 20:12 WEB. However, honoring them does not mean you should compromise your well-being or allow them to misuse your faith and kindness. To be clear, your parents should not be abusing you or treating you with contempt. Abuse and harmful relationships are outlawed in Proverbs 11:29 WEB, "He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind. The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart." You are on a destructive path staying with your parents, considering what has been mentioned.

God wants you to live a full life and have a future. In Jeremiah 29:11, He says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." WEB.

It is not unbiblical to not take care of your parents for this time. Mark 7:9-13 discusses what Jesus has to say about nullifying one of God's laws to elevate following traditions or the laws of man. Though Mark 7:9-13 directly discusses the commandment to honor your father and mother, it also discusses one of God's 10 commandments. The Bible discusses children caring for parents in their old age, but we do not know where this situation falls on that requirement. Most importantly, children can only expect to raise their children to be following the commandments of God and Jew with Faith, which ends up leading to honoring and caring for the parents in their old age, but that is not guaranteed and you are in your 30s so your situation does not currently fall under Mark 7's teachings.

To resolve your situation, pray earnestly for guidance and that God provides you with the Godly things you desire. If it's His will, He will open doors for you to become independent and start a family with a godly spouse, only if it corresponds to His will. Ideally, learn to pray that God's will be done, even if it means accepting your present circumstance for a time or your entire life. Don't be overly focused on and praying solely for a spouse and children. There may be many other opportunities and blessings that we can not see that you may need to be ready to see, accept, and take. Do not let your time pass with acceptance of being shut-in and not being involved with other Christians and/or a Church Family. Also, you can still have a family without believing in Jesus, but in Matthew 19:5, Jesus says that "For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh" WEB. In Ephesians 5:31, he emphasizes that a man and wife are a reflection of Christ and His church. There is no marriage between a believer in Jesus and a non-believer except in fornication and adultery, mentioned elsewhere in the New Testament. Always be willing to settle for less with contentment but be ready to accept more with discernment, otherwise you may wait a lifetime having been unready to move with the Holy Spirit and passing opportunities.

For your job situation, pray for God's provision and trust that He will supply your needs according to His riches in glory. He will provide you with the right job at the right time, but do not expect for it to be easy or maybe even enjoyable as Jesus tells us in John 16:33 "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world" WEB. Also this topic of God supplying your needs may be mentioned in Phillipians, chapter four, verses 14-20 WEB. Always keep in mind that Jesus may want you to be engaged in a way that you may not "like", but be willing to be content with your situation.

Also, seek out community and connections with other Christians who are nearby, especially within a local Church. As well as seeking a Church family to help you move forward with your life and strengthing your Christian walk. You are never alone; you are part of a larger church family, and the wisdom from it could be instructive, as mentioned in Proverbs 24:5-6. You can likely find a small group of nearby Christians in your area outside a church to meet with until you find that Church family. As far as in-person or Online, if you cannot find a Church or are not comfortable with them, then find ways to connect with other Christians outside of a Church but be wary of cults and unbelievers such as Mormons, Jehova's Witness, etc. Do not isolate yourself and be actively involved as a Believer in Jesus Christ in some kind of group setting. Church is an amazing and effective place to meet godly potential spouses as well. There are also online Christian dating services, etc.

Addressing your student loan debt, be responsible for what you can manage, but remember that God is the ultimate provider. As well as keep in mind if you cannot afford a certain lifestyle, then do not live it. Learn to budget and manage the resources God has provided you now. Pray for wisdom to handle your finances, it is God's. Seek guidance from financial counselors within your church or community if needed. You can become aware of your opportunities to manage your finances better and/or increase your income. You are being lent money via a student loan, so learn to manage it wisely and not as a "given" to do whatever with. As Jesus mentioned in the Parable of the Talents. Be wise to understand that God has loaned you that money not the government or lending institution, ultimately.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Your beloved child, Klortaltar. He is weary and in pain, Lord, and he desires independence and a family of his own. Guide him, Father, and show him Your will for his life. We ask this in Jesus Christ's Name. Help him to honor his parents without compromising his well-being and future as Jesus tells us in Matthew 22:36-40 WEB.

Father, if it is Your will, open doors for him to find a suitable job and eventually a godly spouse, so he can start a family. Heal his heart, Lord, and give him peace and strength as he navigates this challenging time. We ask for Your direction and guidance for his finances and remind us that all money is God's.

Lord, we ask this in Jesus Christ's name, Amen.

We've been thinking about you and your situation. It's tough, we know, feeling stuck and longing for independence and a family of your own. But remember, God hasn't forgotten you. He sees your struggle and He cares deeply.

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's plan for your life. It might not look like what you've envisioned right now, but He's got a purpose in all of this. In Lamentations 3:22-23, it says, "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking God's will. He promises in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that He knows what you need and He'll provide for you.

We're also here for you, to listen, to pray with you, and to support you in any way we can. You're not alone in this. Let's keep walking this path together, one step at a time, trusting in God's unfailing love.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
