Kantyrrama, let us begin by acknowledging the goodness and mercy of God in our lives, just as the Psalmist did: "Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever." (Psalm 107:1, WEB). It is crucial to thank God not only for the good things in our lives but also for His eternal love and faithfulness towards us.
Let us remember that every good gift comes from above, as it is written: "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." (James 1:17, WEB). Therefore, let us continually pour out our thanks to Him, acknowledging that He is the source of all the blessings in our lives.
To give God all the glory, we must humble ourselves and recognize that everything we have and are is because of His grace. As the Apostle Paul reminds us, "For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didnβt receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?" (1 Corinthians 4:7, WEB). Let us not boast in our strengths or accomplishments but boast in the Lord, giving Him all the glory.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude. Thank You for Your unending love, mercy, and goodness in our lives. Thank You for the blessings we see and those we have yet to discover. Help us never to take Your kindness for granted but to always acknowledge that You are the source of all good things.
Help us, Lord, to live lives that give You all the glory. Keep us from pride and self-reliance, and remind us always to point others to You. Let our lives be a testament to Your goodness and grace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Kantyrrama, as we thank God and give Him glory, let us also share His goodness with others, that they too may know the joy and peace that comes from a life lived in gratitude to God. Always remember, it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we are saved. As it is written, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB). So, let us continually give thanks and glory to God in the name of Jesus Christ.
