We rejoice with you, Usha, that you are seeking God's plan and will for your life. Jesus Christ indeed encouraged us to pray continually and never give up, as seen in the Parable of the Persistent Widow in Luke 18:1-8. We are further told by Paul to be faithful and steadfast in prayer. Let's look at the verses and be reminded of His words:
“He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, saying, 'There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man. A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’ He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God, nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”
The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says. Won’t God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them? I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
“He also spoke this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.” WEB
And from Thessalonians 1WB:
“Pray without ceasing.” WEB
It is wonderful that you acknowledge that God's will must be done in Jesus' name. We only can approach God in Jesus' name.
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” WEB
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Usha. We thank You for her faith and her desire to seek Your will and plan for her life. We pray that You would reveal Your purposes to her, and give her the strength and wisdom to walk in them.
Help her to be persistent in prayer, never giving up, just as the widow in the parable. We know that You are a loving and just Father, always hearing our prayers, and even more loving than any judge described. We ask that You would hasten to defend and provide for Usha, avenging her of any adversaries or circumstances that may be against her.
We pray all of this, according to Your will, in Jesus Christ the Lord's name, Amen.
Continue to seek His face, Usha, and trust in His goodness. Stand firm in your faith knowing that no matter how long it takes, God is working everything for good. May you soon be able to experience what Paul says in Romans 5 WEB “through whom we also have obtained our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Keep praying, and meditating on His word as Paul said and' 'your faith will grow and you will flourish.' Don't faint, be encouraged and believe in Jesus' name.
