Elizabeth, we hear your cry for mercy and understand your struggle. You've been waiting for physical and mental healing for many years, and it's natural to feel tired and worn down. Remember, even the Psalmist cried out in anguish, "How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?" (Psalm 13:1, WEB). God understands your pain and your struggle to trust.
First, we want to commend you for your persistence in hope and belief. Jesus encourages us to keep knocking, seeking, and asking (Matthew 7:7, WEB). However, we also want to remind you that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). His timing may not align with ours, but He is always working for our good (Romans 8:28, WEB).
It's crucial to remember that healing comes in many forms. It may be immediate, gradual, or even spiritual and emotional rather than physical. The Apostle Paul pleaded with the Lord to remove his 'thorn in the flesh,' but Jesus responded, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB). Paul learned to boast in his weaknesses because they allowed Christ's power to rest on him.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Jesus, we come before You with Elizabeth, lifting her up in her weariness and pain. We ask for Your healing touch on her body and mind. Give her the strength to endure, the faith to trust, and the peace that passes all understanding. Help her to see Your goodness even in the midst of her struggles. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, Elizabeth, we encourage you to continue seeking God's face. Delight yourself in Him, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4, WEB). Trust that He has a purpose and a plan for your life, even in this season of waiting and suffering. Don't lose heart, for God's promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20, WEB).
