How do i pray?

As it is written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." So, if you have confessed your sins to God and trust in Jesus, you can be assured that you are forgiven.

Regarding your concern about not knowing how to pray, the Bible provides us with guidance. In Romans 8:26 (WEB), it says, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered." The Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we don't know how to pray. So, even in your uncertainty, the Spirit is helping you communicate with God.

Now, let's address your question about why praying for years may yield no fruit. Remember, God answers prayers according to His will and timing. In 1 John 5:14-15 (WEB), it says, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him." Keep praying and aligning your will with God's, trusting that He hears you.
