Hello everyone! Let's lift up 
HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the LORD. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.†Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?†“Your servant has nothing there at all,†she said, “except a little oil.†2 King 4:1-2
Do you need divine intervention from your Lord today? Your Lord is asking you right now, “How can I help you?†What would your answer be? Your Lord is right there beside you, wanting and waiting for you to ask Him to help you through your fears, your anxieties of the unknown, your marriage problems, or financial struggles.
Are you facing problems with your children? Are they having trouble in school or are they being disobedient and rebellious? Tell your Heavenly Father all your circumstances and He will know the best solution for you and your family. Are you facing losing your job, your winter fuel bill is more than you can afford or how are you going to pay all your monthly bills with your budget?
We hear from people every day that are in the midst of making major, life decisions. You may have to decide if you are going to sell your home or where you are to live. Your Lord is standing right beside you, waiting for you to ask Him for His help.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.†Isaiah 30:21
“‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’†Jeremiah 33:3
Do you have such great financial needs that you do not know how you are going to make it through each month? Are you having trouble paying your bills, when you are used to living on two incomes or have you had a great decrease in your salary due to the economy? May I suggest that you cry out to your Lord and remember that He is right there, asking you, “How can I help you?†Remember to stand on the promises of God.
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Let me finish the story about the widow and her two boys. As I read this story, I could not help but imagine that in this day and age it would be a story of a divorced man/woman with three children who had been rejected, abandoned and deserted by their spouse for someone else. They are now responsible for managing all the home affairs, as well as work a full time job, while being both Mom and Dad to their children. They come home tired and weary only to find the mailbox overflowing with past due bills. After the children are in bed, they open the mail at the dining room table with tears running down their cheeks. Their thoughts ring so loudly in their mind, “I can't do this. I don't know how to pay these bills!â€
Then the Holy Spirit speaks to his/her heart, “How can I help you?â€
“...How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?†“Your servant has nothing there at all,†she said, “except a little oil.†Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don't ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.†She left him and afterward shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.†But he replied, “There is not a jar left.†Then the oil stopped flowing. She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.†2 Kings 4:2-7
Believe that your mighty awesome God will provide for you and your children , you only need to seek Him. Your problems may seem hopeless, but remember who is on your side, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth who will provide for you. If you will do your part, He can stretch your money far beyond what you can imagine.
Do you remember the story in the New Testament with Mary and Jesus attending a wedding and they ran out of wine? (John 2:1-11) Mary went to Jesus, knowing only He could solve the problem right away. May you and I learn from God's Word that our Lord is trying to teach you and me principles that will work for us throughout our lifetime. We are to talk to the Lord every day. Ask for His divine help and intervention in your variety of circumstances.
His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.†John 2:5
What obedience and faith were illustrated by Mary telling the servants to listen and follow Jesus’ instructions? Are you doing that? Are you choosing to listen only to the Holy Spirit? What is He telling you to do?
Let's go back to the widow woman and Elisha. She also had to make a decision. Was she going to obey Elisha, telling her to do such a foolish thing? She knew how much oil she had. But Elisha was a man of God, a prophet and she knew of His mighty power.
Do you know and believe in the Lord's mighty power? Never stop praying daily for your spouse and all spouses who are blinded and deceived by the enemy. Pray for your spouse and thousands of other marriages every week to be touched by your awesome mighty God. May you never doubt in God's mighty power who raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
“How can I help you?†Right now, may you bow down on your knees in awe of whom you serve, and tell your Lord what your needs are right now. Then expect your Lord to help you supernaturally in ways that you could never imagine. He can and will help you meet your daily needs and solve your problems, if you will be obedient to His commands, to His will and His ways. Believe that your Lord will also go after your spouse who is entangled in sin and will set them free by His mighty power. How can your Lord help you? Talk to Him!
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20
