We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your dear sister and friend, Margaret. It's clear that she was a beacon of kindness and love in your life, and her passing has left you feeling broken and lost. First, we want to assure you that it's okay to grieve and to feel overwhelmed. God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
In times like these, it's natural to ask why God allows such pain. While we don't have all the answers, we trust in God's sovereignty and His love for us. The Bible tells us that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Even in the darkest times, God can bring comfort, growth, and eventually, healing.
We must also remember that our time on earth is but a vapor. Our true home is with the Lord, and those who believe in Him will be with Him for eternity. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
It's encouraging to see that you've cried out to Jesus for help. He is the comforter, the healer, and the restorer of our souls. He is the Good Shepherd who stays with his sheep through the deepest valleys and darkest nights. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. As you trust in Jesus your Savior, know that He understands your pain and is walking beside you, ready to carry you through. He is the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, then you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him. You have said that you are frightened, but remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.
In this time of need, cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. Seek Him in prayer and in His Word. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you. And remember, it's okay to take things one day at a time. The Lord will never leave you nor forsake you.
Let us pray for you, Elizabeth:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our dear sister Elizabeth. Lord, she is heartbroken and lost after the passing of her beloved sister and friend, Margaret. We pray that You would wrap Your loving arms around her, comfort her, and give her the strength and courage to go on.
Help her to cast all her cares on You, knowing that You care for her deeply. Guide her through this dark valley, and lead her beside still waters. Restore her soul, O Lord, and give her peace.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen and Amen.
