Disciple of Prayer
I, Roy Raimond. I am 63 years, I'm married, father and grandfather, working as an advisor, my blood sugar level is way too high and I have very low energy daily. I have been in Christian churches for many years since 1992. Two times I had a psychosis in 1988 and in 2021. Two times it turned my life totally and completely upside down. Both times I had to recover for a few years. I am just attending for years the services and programs in the church and doing what they want me to do. I want to do what Jesus Christ did do in His days. What do I have to do? Can you please help me to do what the Lord Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior did? Kind regards.

We are glad to hear of your faith and your desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, Roy. Firstly, we want to assure you that the power to perform miracles comes from the Holy Spirit, not from our own abilities or efforts. As Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father." (John 14:12 WEB)

However, we want to address a few things in your request. You mentioned your struggle with high blood sugar and low energy. It's important to remember that our physical bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and we should take care of them. We encourage you to seek medical advice and maintain a healthy lifestyle alongside your spiritual pursuits.

You also mentioned experiencing psychosis twice. We want to emphasize that mental health is as important as physical health. It's crucial to seek professional help and support when needed. Remember, even the strongest of God's servants have periods of weakness and struggle (2 Corinthians 12:7-10).

Now, regarding your desire to perform miracles, we want to remind you that Jesus' miracles were always accompanied by faith and obedience to God's will. The apostles also performed miracles, but they were filled with the Holy Spirit and were sent out by Jesus (Acts 3:1-10, Acts 5:12-16). We encourage you to:

1. Deepen your relationship with Jesus through prayer and reading the Word.
2. Obey God's commandments and seek His will in your life.
3. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit and guide you.
4. Trust in God's timing and remember that He has a unique purpose for each of us.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You with Roy. We thank You for his faith and desire to serve You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on his body, mind, and spirit. Guide him to the right medical care and give him the strength to take care of his physical health. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and reveal Your will to him. Strengthen his faith and use him mightily for Your Kingdom. We ask all this in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue in your faith and service to the Lord. Remember, it's not about what we do, but about what God does through us. Keep trusting in Him and seeking His face. He will guide your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We're here with you, Roy, believing in your heart's desire to serve Jesus just as He did. It's true, the power to perform miracles comes from the Holy Spirit, but it's also important to remember that Jesus always acted in obedience to His Father's will. Let's focus on deepening our relationship with Him through prayer and His Word, seeking His will, and trusting in His timing.

We want to encourage you to take care of your physical health too, Roy. As temples of the Holy Spirit, it's our responsibility to maintain our bodies well. We hope you're already seeing a doctor about your blood sugar and energy levels. Remember, even the apostles needed rest and care for their bodies.

As for your past experiences with psychosis, we want to assure you that it's okay to seek professional help. It's a sign of strength, not weakness, to ask for support when we need it. Jesus cares for every part of you, including your mental health.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, we come to You today with Roy. We thank You for his heart to serve You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on his body, mind, and spirit. Guide him to the right medical care, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and reveal Your will to him. Strengthen his faith and use him mightily for Your Kingdom. We ask all this in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen."

Keep trusting in Him, Roy. It's not about what we do, but what God does through us. He's guiding your steps, one at a time. Let's keep walking with Him.

Friend Roy, God bless you and your desire to do good works and serve our Lord Jesus Christ. In the Catholic Church we believe that most persons don't perform miracles as such the Lord did during his earthly ministry like miraculous healings by touching people etc. But we are all called to do good works in some way by following the 2 great commandments: 1.Love God with all of your heart, and 2. Love your neighbor as yourself. These are the 2 Commandments to follow in order to be like Jesus, which involve 3 major steps as written in Scripture: "The Lord has told you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6.8." You can do all of these things through your day to day actions, by praying everyday with God, loving your family and grandchildren by doing good for them, especially, and this is important, by praying for them. Even if you are getting older and have less energy than you used to, I recommend spending as much time with your family as possible, going to church on Sundays, and praying everyday, and doing simple works of mercy such as giving some food to the poor or comforting someone who is sorrowful. I also recommend reading Scripture daily and speaking with God through prayer about what you read, and contemplate the meaning of the passages to apply them in your life, such as the Psalms for example. This type of prayer is called Lectio Divina. You should also perform your current work as an advisor to the best you are able until you are retired. Such good works are pleasing and acceptable to God.

This is the only advise I can give you for now,
May the Lord Bless you, Protect you from all evil, and bring you to everlasting life. Amen.

James 5:16 encourages us to "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

God invites us to bring our requests for healing before Him with confidence, knowing that He is the Great Physician who can restore, renew, and revive us. Whether we are facing illness, pain, emotional distress, or any form of suffering, we can pour out our hearts to God in prayer, trusting in His goodness and unfailing love.

We speak Jesus over everything that’s not of GOD in your body, in a joint agreement we ask You Lord in Jesus’s name that you rest your healing hands on our beloved Roy Raimond. We lift our prayers for healing, as we come before the Lord with sincerity, faith, and supplication, believing in His ability to bring restoration and wholeness.
As we offer our prayers, may we find solace in the promise of God's presence and power to bring restoration and wholeness. May our prayers be a source of comfort, strength, and faith for those who are in need of healing, knowing that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much in the sight of the Lord. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen!
