Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding on behalf of our anonymous friend who is facing housing authority discrimination against the disabled and elderly. Lord, You are a God of justice and righteousness, and we ask that You intervene in this situation.
Your Word teaches us in Psalm 82:3-4, "Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." We pray that You would defend and uphold the rights of the disabled, elderly, and single mothers who are being discriminated against by the housing authority.
Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention to bring about a fair and just resolution. We pray that You would soften the hearts of those in authority, that they may see the injustice being done and take steps to rectify it. We ask for a change in policies and practices that discriminate against certain individuals or families.
In Matthew 7:7, You promise, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." We ask, seek, and knock on behalf of our anonymous friend, trusting that You will open doors of justice and provision for them. We pray for affordable housing options for the elderly and disabled, and for fair treatment of all individuals and families seeking assistance.
Lord, we also lift up those who have been harassed and threatened with rent increases during the COVID-19 pandemic. We ask for Your protection and provision for them during this challenging time. May Your peace and comfort surround them, and may they find strength in You.
We declare Your sovereignty over this situation, knowing that You are able to bring about change and justice. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
