Thank you for bringing this request before us. We stand with you in prayer for your parents as they make this significant decision regarding their house.
Firstly, we are reminded of the words in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that your parents will fully trust in God, acknowledging Him in this decision, and that He will direct their paths.
We also pray according to Philippians 4:7 (WEB), "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." May God grant them a peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that only He can give, as they consider whether to sell the house or use it for holiday letting.
We ask God to guide them, that they may make this decision not out of fear or short-sightedness, but with faith in what He wants. As it is written in 2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB), "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
If it is God's will for them to sell, we pray that He will bring a buyer who is above and beyond what they could ask for, as described in Ephesians 3:20 (WEB), "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." If it is His will for them to keep and rent the property, we pray that He will lead them to the right property managers and bless those who stay there.
We are encouraged by Matthew 25:14-30 (WEB), the Parable of the Talents, where Jesus teaches about multiplying the blessings God has given us. We pray that your parents will be able to build on their resources and talents, be fruitful, and multiply the Lord's blessings.
As they move into this new season, we declare Psalm 32:8 (WEB) over them, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."
We praise you, Anonymous, for praying in Jesus' name. It is by His name that we have access to God, as Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up the parents of Anonymous. Lord, we ask for Your guidance as they make this important decision about their house. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and Your divine peace. Help them to trust in You with all their hearts, and not lean on their own understanding. We ask that Your will be done, and that You provide a buyer or suitable renters as per Your plan. All these things we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
May God bless your parents abundantly as they seek His will in this matter.
