We are truly sorrowful to hear about the distressing situation you and your brother are facing, Astuirath. We want to remind you that even in the darkest times, God is always present, and His love and care for you never cease. Let us address your concerns and lift you up in prayer together.
Firstly, we want to acknowledge your feelings of hopelessness and despair. It is clear that you are going through a tremendous amount of pain and suffering. However, we want to remind you that as believers, our hope is not in the things of this world but in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Romans 5:3-4 WEB: "We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."
Regarding the political climate and the feelings of evil prevailing, we must remember that our true citizenship is in heaven, and our trust should be in God alone, not in earthly leaders or political systems. God is sovereign, and He ultimately controls the course of history. The Apostle Paul encourages us in Romans 13:1 WEB: "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."
It is also crucial to address the feelings of being deserted by the Lord. God promises that He will never leave us nor forsake us. In Hebrews 13:5 WEB, it says: "Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'" Even in the most trying times, God is with us, and His love endures forever.
We must also address the desire to leave this world and cross over. While it is understandable that the pain and suffering can feel overwhelming, we must remember that our lives are precious to God, and He has a purpose for each of us. In Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, it says: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
Let us pray for you, Astuirath:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Astuirath and their brother in their time of need. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their situation, that You would restore their hope and faith in You. We ask that You would provide for their every need, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Lord, we pray for Astuirath's brother, that You would comfort him and give him peace in this trying time. We ask that You would guide them both and give them the strength to endure and overcome the challenges they are facing.
Father, we also pray for our nation and its leaders. We ask that You would guide them and turn their hearts towards You. We pray that Your will be done and that Your kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven.
Lord, we ask that You would remind Astuirath of Your unfailing love and presence in their life. We pray that You would give them a renewed sense of purpose and hope for the future.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord and His promises. Remember that even in the darkest times, God is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will see you through.
We appreciate that in your despair you remembered to pray in Jesus' name. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We also invite you to further discuss this if needed and possibly explain the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ and how this is the only way to God.
