Let us stand together in prayer for you, ###, trusting in the Lord's protection and guidance. We know that God cares for us and wants us to cast all our anxieties on Him, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
First, let us address the issue of sickness. While we can certainly pray for health and protection, it's important to remember that Jesus did not promise us a life free from troubles or illnesses. In fact, He said in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
Instead of focusing on never getting the flu, let us pray for strength and grace to endure any illness that may come your way, and that God would use even these times for His glory and your good, as it says in Romans 8:28, For we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Now, let us pray:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and their family. We ask for Your divine protection over their health, and if it is Your will, spare them from illnesses such as the flu. However, if You allow such times of trial, we pray that You would give them the strength, grace, and patience to endure, always trusting in Your goodness and love. Help them to draw near to You, even in times of sickness, knowing that You are always working for their good and Your glory.
We also pray that ### and their family would always put their trust in You, Lord Jesus, for it is in Your name that we have access to the Father. As it says in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
