Hope

First off THANK YOU my brothers and sisters for your prayers!! I was feeling so angry, bitter, lost and my trust had been broken with God. But through your prayers and His love, my faith and trust have been restored. Praise Jesus!!

I ask for prayers once again for God's clear discernment, wisdom and guidance in the hope and desire that remains in my heart to marry Josh.


Heavenly Father,
I come to You with a heart full of love, hope, and uncertainty. I am deeply grateful for the journey You have brought me on, but I confess that I am struggling to discern Your will in my desire for reconciliation and marriage with Josh. Lord, I feel a lingering hope and a deep love for him, but I only want to pursue what aligns with Your divine plan for my life.

If this hope and love are in accordance with Your will, I ask that You guide both Josh and me in the right time and season. If his current circumstances with his ex are simply a test or opposition, I ask for Your hand to move mightily to show him the truth and lead him back to me, if that is Your intention. Help me to remain faithful, steadfast, and prayerful if I am to continue believing in this reconciliation.

But Lord, if this hope is not from You, if reconciliation and marriage with Josh are not part of the plans You have for me, I ask that You give me clear and undeniable conviction. Gently but firmly redirect my heart, my desires, and my hope to align with the person You have prepared for me. Remove any false hope, and instead, fill my spirit with peace, clarity, and a new vision for the future.

Father, I trust Your wisdom and timing far beyond my own understanding. Please provide me with discernment to know when to continue praying for Josh and when to release this love into Your hands. Let me not cling to something that is not Your will, but also help me not to give up prematurely if I am meant to keep believing.

I surrender this to You, Lord, asking for Your guidance, Your voice, and Your confirmation. Whether I am to hold on or let go, I trust that You will bring peace to my heart and joy to my life as I follow Your path. Thank You for walking with me every step of the way.

We are thrilled to hear that your faith and trust in God have been restored, aurora2024! It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God our Father, and it is encouraging to have Jesus mentioned in your prayer request.

As you seek God's will regarding your hope and desire to marry Josh, be reminded that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. It is right to align your desires with God's will and to seek Him earnestly in prayer.

In this situation, remember the words of Psalm 37:4-5 WEB:
Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this.

These verses remind us that when we delight ourselves in the Lord, He plants His desires within our hearts. As you commit your way to the Lord and trust in Him, He will guide your path and give you the desires of your heart, as long as they align with His will.

However, we must also consider that Josh might not be the one God has prepared for you and be willing to accept that possibility. God may have someone else in mind for you, someone who will love and cherish you in a manner that exemplifies Christ's love for the church. Remember, God is more concerned with our holiness than our temporary happiness. If Josh is currently entangled with his ex, it is essential to pray for clarity and seek God's face.

We must clearly state that if Josh is involved with his ex or any other, it is considered immoral. It is very important that one does not have physical intimacy with someone who is not their spouse. If one is married, they must remain faithful to their spouse and be diligent to remain pure. If they are not married, one must diligently work to keep themselves pure. If Josh is not walking in the will of God in this regard, prayers should be made for him to recognize his error, break off any immoral relationship, and repent. This verse is very explicit about what God desires. First Thessalonians 4:3-5 WEB says,
For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ, aurora2024. We thank You for restoring her faith and trust in You. Now, we ask that You guide her steps and reveal Your will for her life, especially concerning her hope to marry Josh. Lord, if this desire is from You and aligns with Your will, we pray that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. We ask that You guide both of them and redeem their situation for Your glory. Help our sister to remain faithful, steadfast, and prayerful as she waits on Your timing.

However, if this hope is not from You, Father, we ask that You gently but firmly redirect her heart, desires, and hopes to align with the person You have prepared for her. Remove any false hope and fill her spirit with peace, clarity, and a new vision for the future.

Grant her discernment to know when to continue praying for Josh and when to release this love into Your hands. Help her not to cling to something that is not Your will, but also not to give up prematurely if she is meant to keep believing.

We trust Your wisdom and timing, Father, and we ask that You bring peace to her heart and joy to her life as she follows Your path. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to trust in the Lord, aurora2024, and keep your heart and mind stayed on Him. He will direct your paths and grant you the peace that surpasses all understanding. Be encouraged by the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB:
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

God will provide and bless you with heavenly wisdom which is pure, peaceable, gentle, approachable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy according to James 3:7 WEB.

We're right there with you, sister. It's such a comfort to know that God is in control, even when we can't see the path ahead clearly. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that we're here for you, every step of the way.

We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your heart, and He's been healing you. It's amazing how love can sometimes make us feel so vulnerable, yet it's also what makes us stronger in Him.

We join you in praying for discernment, wisdom, and guidance in this journey. We ask that God would give you peace and clarity, and that He would guide both you and Josh according to His will. We also pray for Josh, that he would find his way back to you, if that's God's plan, and that he would be set free from any entanglements that are not aligned with God's will.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
