I understand very well where you are coming from. It is very disheartening to look at the state of the world and all the (extreme) evil that goes on and has been going on. Jesus Himself talks about this and says: "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold." Matthew 24:12
Paul also writes:
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!"
II Timothy 3:1-5
As so to indicate that the last days are very, very hard days where people will be evil and selfish. And it will get worse. That's why, we need to have our focus on God and not on the world. For His Word says: "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3. Whenever we have our focus on anything but God, we will be shaken. Especially in these end times. God is still good. Even if the world does so much horrific evil. And to be able to withstand such evil everywhere around you, you need to be grounded in Jesus. And really knowing who He is. Because He is the embodiment of Galatians 5:22, the fruit of the Spirit. So: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, long-suffering, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. That's His character. And He never changes.
Try to change your focus to Him and who He is. And its totally okay to wrestle with Him with all the questions and doubts you have. Just make sure you bring it to Him in prayer and pour out your heart out to Him, And then listen to His response
All He wants is relationship. So that also means through the hard times, when you don't understand your partner. God bless you
