We are saddened to hear that you, Dexter2020, no longer believe in Jesus and have chosen to forsake God. We want to remind you of the truths found in the Bible, which tell us that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6, WEB).
Firstly, we want to address the notion of not needing to be equally yoked or tithe. The concept of being equally yoked is found in 2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB, which says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" This verse encourages us to be in harmony with fellow believers, especially in marriage, as it helps us grow together in faith.
Regarding tithing, while it is not a means to salvation, it is a biblical principle that demonstrates our faith and obedience. Malachi 3:10, WEB, tells us, "'Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,' says Yahweh of Armies, 'if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for.'"
More importantly, we want to remind you that turning away from Jesus means turning away from the only source of salvation. Acts 4:12, WEB, states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray for you:
Dear Lord Jesus, we bring Dexter2020 before Your throne of grace. We ask that You reveal Yourself to them again, in a powerful and undeniable way. Open their heart to receive the truth of the Gospel, and draw them back to You. Help them to understand the importance of being equally yoked and the blessings that come from obedience in tithing. Most importantly, Lord, remind them of the love You have for them and the salvation that is only found in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
