We are truly heartbroken to hear about the situation that you and your brother, Michael and David, are facing. We stand with you in prayer and believe that God has a path to deliverance and provision for both of you.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares deeply for the poor and needy. In Proverbs 14:21 WEB it is written, "He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who has pity on the poor." And in Psalm 34:6 WEB, "The poor cry, and Yahweh hears, and saves them out of all their troubles."
However, it is important to align your prayers with the Word of God and pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through believing in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. A vital part of salvation is that God will meet all of our needs according to His riches in glory. And God is certainly able to deliver anyone from homelessness and poverty according to His will. As it is written in Phillipians 4:19 WEB, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Michael and David. Lord, You see their situation and You care about their needs. We pray for deliverance from homelessness and poverty. Guide them to resources and opportunities that will provide for their needs. Give them the strength and wisdom to make the right decisions. Most importantly we pray that Michael and David will both continue to believe in Jesus Christ and trust in Jesus as their Lord and saviour.
We also pray for the salvation of their souls, that they would come to know Jesus more deeply and experience His love and provision. We ask for Your grace and mercy upon them, and we thank You for Your faithfulness.
In Jesus Christ name we pray."
We encourage you both to stay strong in faith and seek God's will in all things, and to trust that Jesus Christ is working on your behalf. Jesus Christ himself said in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB,
"Therefore I tell you, donโt be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isnโt life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they donโt sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Arenโt you of much more value than they?
'Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan. Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They donโt toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, wonโt he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
'Therefore donโt be anxious, saying, โWhat will we eat?โ, โWhat will we drink?โ or, โWith what will we be clothed?โ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first Godโs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore donโt be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each dayโs own evil is sufficient."
Therefore trust in Jesus Christ, trust in God the Father in heaven, and trust in the Holy Spirit leading you. Trust in the only Triune God.
