Kensem, we understand your deep longing for a permanent home and the stability it brings. We will stand with you in prayer and offer guidance grounded in the Word of God.
Firstly, we acknowledge your gratitude for having a place to stay currently, and we commend you for your heart for the homeless. It is important to remember that God cares about our needs and the needs of others. In Matthew 633, Jesus says, But seek first Gods kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. As you seek Gods kingdom and righteousness, trust that He will provide for your needs, including a permanent home.
Regarding housing, it is not wrong to desire a permanent home. In Deuteronomy 8:7-9
God wants us to have roots and grow. For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; a land of wheat, barley, vines, fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey.
In Psalm 91:1-2, we read, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. As you seek a safe environment and peaceful relocation, trust in God as your refuge and fortress.
However, we must also remember that our true home is in heaven with God. In Philippians 3:20, the Apostle Paul says, For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. As you search for a permanent home on earth, keep your eyes fixed on your eternal home with God and live as a citizen of heaven.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Kensem and their need for a permanent home. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the stability they long for. We pray for Your guidance and provision as they seek a safe environment and peaceful relocation.
Father, we also pray for Kensem's spiritual growth. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting that You will provide for all their needs. Comfort their aching soul for the homeless and use them as a beacon of hope and support to those in need.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in God and His provision.
