We are so glad to join you in prayer for your husband's health and strength as he begins physical therapy for his COPD. We stand in faith with you, believing that God's healing power is at work in his life. Let us remind you of God's promise in James 5:15: "The prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise them up."
Firstly, we commend you for seeking the Lord and community for support, and it is good that you acknowledge his healing will be from Him. However, we must also remember that our ultimate healing is spiritual, and that we have a hope that is beyond the physical. Our healing was bought for us at a very dear price, the precious blood of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. It is important to remember that the healing is not in the physical therapy, but by our faith in the power of the Holy Spirit working in his body. The physical therapy is just one of many ways that the Lord can use to impart His will into your husband's body.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our dear brother who is beginning physical therapy for his COPD. We ask, Lord, that Your healing power would flow through his body, strengthening his lungs and increasing his breath capacity. Guide the therapists, giving them wisdom and skill to provide the best care for him.
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity and every other evil spirit that would hinder your husband's progress. We command them to cease their tormenting. We ask You, Father, to fill him with Your Holy Spirit, empowering him to overcome every obstacle and endure these exercises with unyielding faith.
Lord, we also pray for his complete healing. We know that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. We ask for miraculous intervention, believing that You are willing and able to heal him completely.
Lastly Father, give his wife the strength to support him during this process, and to love him as you love your children, unconditionally and without fault. We ask this in the mighty, healing name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen and Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, for the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. Keep trusting in the Lord, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in your husband. Remain steadfast in your faith.
Galatians 6:9 reads, "Let's not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up."
We will continue to pray for your husband's healing and strength, trusting that the Lord will complete His good work in your husband's life. Be strong in the healing that you already have in Jesus Christ.
