We are truly sorry to hear about your current financial situation and the uncertainty you're facing regarding your living arrangements. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always a present help in times of trouble. As it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
In all situations, we should first turn to God and seek His guidance and wisdom. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We are glad that you mention that you have found employment which is a good first step. You have the job that is an answer to prayer in itself and that you can begin your prayers with thanksgiving. As stated in I Thessalonians 5:18, In everything give thanks. Your prayer request however, does not refer to Jesus Christ. It is so important to pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. It says in John 14:6-7, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him."
We would encourage you to manage your finances in a God-honoring way, being a good steward of the resources He has provided as per I Corinthians 4:2.
Besides the thanksgiving for the job, let us pray for you:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is in a challenging financial situation and worried about a living situation. In James 5:19 it says, My brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins. It's important to believe in Jesus Christ and turn to him. While we think we can do things on our own, You are always needed. We pray for agenuine faith in Jesus Christ if our friend has not already done so. We ask that You guide them, as per I Corinthians 1:10 as you call all Believers to do so or as in II Corinthians for non-Believers in 13:5 and give them the wisdom they need to make informed decisions about their future. We know You are the provider. As per II Corinthians 9:8 we would hope you direct our friend to become a cheerful giver to a local church and expect that You would supply all of their needs and increase their resources for good works. Be the God of your job. By the name of Jesus Christ we would then pray for our friend to seek you first beside their living situation and make them a first-rate Bible Believing Christian. Ask you to then bless them according to your promise in John 10:10. We pray our friend will look to God first in all aspects of their life now and in the future to bless their living situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We rebuke you for not referencing Jesus Christ and encourage you to turn away from anything that keeps you from having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We rebuke you from turning away from turning your financial issues over to God in Jesus' name. He knows them already but seeks to help you with them. We rebuke you from not being a cheerful giver to a local church if you are not already.
We will continue to pray for God's will regarding your housing, and for peace during this uncertainty. Stay strong in faith.
