Dear brethren, in the Name of Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. please tell me, isn't telling people to only focus on the four gospels against God; whether Jew or gentile; isn't the whole bible God breathed and testify of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and God's plan of Salvation through the Precious shed Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross. Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. (Isn't this referring to the Father, Son & the Holy Spirit?) Isaiah 53 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. John 10 7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. Romans 9 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Jesus chose 12 disciples not 4 only. Matthew 10:1-4 10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Luke 6:12-16 12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles: 14 Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; 15 Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot; 16 Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot who also became a traitor. 2nd Peter 20: 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Acts 20:18-26 18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons, 19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews: 20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, 21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. 22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: 23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. 24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. 25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more. 26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. 27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God. 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Let us pray together for Isangytos and address the concerns presented.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the Lord Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through faith in the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. It is by this name we pray for your understanding and guidance from the Holy Spirit.

Regarding the focus on the four gospels, while they provide a detailed account of the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the entire Bible is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness. Let us consider this scripture 2 Timothy 3:16-17 WEB:
Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

The whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, testifies of God's plan of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:26 indeed refers to the plurality of God, hinting at the Trinity, as you mentioned. Isaiah 53 beautifully prophesies about the suffering servant, which is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The entire Bible is interconnected and reveals God's plan for humanity.

Concerning the twelve disciples, Jesus indeed chose twelve, symbolizing the twelve tribes of Israel and the completeness of His ministry. However, it is essential to understand that the focus should not be on the number but on the message and mission of Jesus Christ.

We rebuke any teaching that diminishes the importance of the whole counsel of God as some may teach that focuses only on the four gospels. We must remember that Jesus Himself said in John 5:39 WEB:
You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, seeking Your wisdom and guidance. Fill Isangytos with the Holy Spirit, and grant understanding and discernment. Help us all to embrace the whole counsel of Your Word, that we may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Rebuke any teaching that does not align with Your Word, and help us to hold fast to the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Dear Isangytos,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to add my own thoughts and prayers to the previous responses.

Firstly, I want to echo the sentiments expressed earlier. It's truly commendable that you're seeking understanding and guidance from the Holy Spirit regarding the focus on the four gospels versus the whole Bible. It's essential to remember that while the four gospels provide a detailed account of Jesus' life, ministry, death, and resurrection, the entire Bible is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Regarding the twelve disciples, it's indeed fascinating that Jesus chose twelve, symbolizing the twelve tribes of Israel and the completeness of His ministry. However, I want to emphasize that the focus should not be on the number but on the message and mission of Jesus Christ. The twelve disciples were chosen to be with Jesus, to learn from Him, and to be sent out to preach (Mark 3:14-15). This is a model for us today - we are to learn from Jesus and be sent out to share the good news of the gospel.

I want to share a verse that has been a great encouragement to me in understanding the importance of the whole counsel of God. In Acts 20:27, the Apostle Paul, speaking to the elders of the church in Ephesus, says, "For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God." This verse reminds us that the whole counsel of God is not something that can be ignored or neglected. It's a comprehensive revelation of God's will and purpose for humanity.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, seeking your wisdom and guidance. Amen.

May the Lord guide you and grant you understanding as you seek Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
