Holy One, today I am praying for someone special in my life. I feel You are calling this person to You God, in a big way, and seeing You in their life has been moving for me, at times more than I can really handle.

I pray for them because I see something of who I was and am now in who they are and who they are becoming, and Lord Jesus, I am having a hard time. Seeing this person brings up old old wounds for me, not because they ever hurt me, but because I myself feel in a very great part the lesser of two favorable servants. I see more purity in who they are where they are at in their lives than I have likely ever had during nearly twice the length of life.

God, this upsets me, and I have thought long about it, what the meaning must be of why You put this person in my life, if only for a brief fingersnap. I see many parallels in our lives, but I do not understand why my heart is going through such pain. Please help me to better understand this mystery here. I am very lost, and I feel weakened and vulnerable because of it. You Jesus are my rock and my shield, and there is no question You do not know the answer to.
