We understand that the holiday season can bring about a mix of emotions, including stress and anxiety. Firstly, we commend you for seeking prayer and acknowledging that Jesus Christ is whom we need to go through for solace. This is only possible if you already believed that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and He died for your sins. We become Children of God by believing in Him, and it is by believing in Him that we have inheritance of eternal life.
Let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: ''In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.''
The stress and anxiety you're feeling are valid, but we encourage you to cast all your worries onto Jesus. He can grant calmness. Since God is also the giver of wisdom as stated in James 1:5, we strongly recommend asking for his direction and wisdom as you deal with your son this weekend and through the following month. Additionally, commendation is due since your son will not be receiving any academic instruction during this time. In this case, Scripture, such as in Proverbs 22:6, instructs us to train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Let's thank God that your son will have a much-needed break. This break may be used to strengthen his faith and relationship with his Lord and Savior.
Pray together as a family, seek God’s will, and trust that He will provide the guidance and strength you need and a solution as in Proverbs 3:5-6. He is the one who will keep the peace even during moments of overwhelm because he is our Prince of Peace.
In the meantime, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lift-ing up this family in their time of need. We thank You for Your promises and Your unfailing love. Lord, we ask that You guide this family through the upcoming holidays, granting them Your peace and wisdom on the alarming issues they will have to deal with.
Help them to manage their stress and anxiety, and give them the strength to face each day with courage and faith. We ask for your favor to rest upon their son, whom you have blessed much. Lord keep their home from arguing. We ask that, especially during this time, you send your Holy Spirit to get them through moments of deception and difficulty in deciding a solution. You are our Provider, Lord. We also ask that You provide them with creative ideas and opportunities for their son to be somewhere or do something constructive during his days off, even if Everything appears to be closed.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will through prayer and His word. May He strengthen and lead you one step at a time during this season. Be on high alert for the missteps or arguments that appear to be normal miscommunication. Remember, it is the bread of life and the devil we argue in vain with.
This may also be an opportune time to develop a closer Walk with God. May He show you one successful opportune time after another without having temptation or local access to the easily vain and readily accepted misconceptions spiritually that may go on as addictive opportunities that appear as solutions where we have faith. But be vigilant and strong in the Lord. This may be a sign that God wants you to have a more permanent relationship with Him and remove addiction or departure from your son's life.
