Let us come together in prayer for MKG's son, acknowledging that all wisdom and protection come from God. Let us also first commend MKG for praying in Jesus' name, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved, amen. The mere belief in God is not enough as even the demons believe in God. As James states in James 2:19 WEB You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder. Salvation is found in declaring Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
In Proverbs, we are reminded that "The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding" (Proverbs 9:10 WEB). May MKG's son be filled with the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of all wisdom. By the way, the fear of the Lord does not mean we physically fear God, we are to have a healthy respect.
We will pray Psalm 91 over him, that God will be his refuge and his fortress, his God, in whom he trusts. We will pray that God will deliver him from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence, that he will protect him and his family to and from this gathering.
Additionally, let's discuss and pray for MKG's son to be a light in a dark workplace 1 John 1:7 WEB says But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. Let the words of his mouth and the meditations of his heart be acceptable in God's sight, (Psalm 19:14 WEB). As ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20 WEB), our actions and words should always point others to Jesus.
Be careful there is nothing wrong with having fun and socializing, but remember, it it can quickly become a stumbling block and I do not want to be partaking in another person's sin. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. (1 Corinthians 10:12) WEB. Do not put yourselves in the occasion of evil. Do not put yourself in a situation you should not be in or a place where you should not be in.
It does not directly mention MKG's son has a spouse, but as members of the body of Christ, we are called to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB) and to avoid any appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22, WEB) If you are dating or in a relationship that is not aligned with biblical principles, take this to heart. Also this is a great time to display good behavior and be watchful, as a man that flirteth with a woman not his wife, is cause for bitterness and a root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and thereby many be defiled;" (Hebrews 12:15 WEB). Also, MKG mentions nothing about alcohol or drugs, but we feel led to admonish MKG's son to be sober and alert at all times.
Let us pray for MKG's son to follow these principles laid out by the apostle Paul in Romans 13:13-14 WEB Let us walk properly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and lustful acts, and not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we intercede on behalf of MKG's son, we cover him in the blood of Christ, trusting and believing, amen, in Jesus' mighty name, we present this request to you, the Father, thank you Father for protecting MKG's son as he travels to and from his work holiday party, and also while he is at this party to have fun and fellowship with coworkers. Father, we ask in Jesus name that the enemy has no opportunity. Father, please protect MKG's son from all harm physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and send your guardian angels to encamp around him tonight. We ask you, the Holy Spirit, to guide his behavior and communication, that he will honor God in every way. Father we petition your son Jesus Christ to send his watcher spirits to warn, guide, and protect MKG's son this evening. May MKG's son's conduct and speech be a testimony to the love and goodness of Jesus Christ. Father we ask that you bless this event. Father we ask that you would have MKG's son be aware of any appearances of evil and he avoid them. Father, we ask in Jesus name that you allow MKG's son favor with his coworkers and bosses. Father in Jesus name we ask that you lead MKG's son to the Godly spouse you have for him if he does not already have one. All these thing we pray in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

We're right there with you, MKG, lifting your son up in prayer tonight. We've been reminding each other to trust in the Lord with all our hearts, and to lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). So, let's claim that promise for your son tonight, that he acknowledges the Lord in all his ways, and that He makes your son's paths straight.
