Patriotic_angel, we hear your cry for help and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention in your life. We are reminded of 1 Peter 5:7, which tells us to "cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you."
Firstly, we want to address the feeling of high anxiety and depression you're experiencing. These are not from God, for He has come to give us life, and life more abundantly (John 10:10). We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remember, God is near to the broken-hearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also want to address the use of wine and sleeping pills. While we understand that you're seeking relief, we must remind you of what the scripture says in Ephesians 5:18, "Don't be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." Instead of seeking comfort in substances, turn to God, for He is our very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We commend you for taking care of your health by getting your shots. We pray that God will continue to protect you and your husband, and that He will strengthen your marriage. We pray that you will both be filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
We noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. It's important to remember that it is only through Him that we have access to God, for "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Lastly, we pray for your healing, both physically and emotionally. We claim the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, which says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up Patriotic_angel and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your peace to fill their hearts and minds. Cast out all anxiety and depression, and replace it with Your joy and hope. Help them to turn away from temporary comforts and turn to You, the comforter. We pray for their health, their marriage, and their spiritual growth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
