We understand your concern and will pray for you, but first, let's consider what the Bible says about legislators and those in authority. Romans 13:1-2 (WEB) tells us, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment."
God is ultimately in control, and He uses governments and authorities to accomplish His purposes. Even if those in authority do not acknowledge Him, they are still under His ultimate authority. Our role as believers is to pray for them.
Matthew 5:44 (WEB) tells us to pray for those who mistreat us. We can see that this also applies to legislators in Jesus' words: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."
When you recognize that that they are mistreating you with rules and laws, this is your opportunity to grow in grace, love, and patience. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (WEB)'s mandate is clear: "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. (3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who (4) desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Other scripture that can help includes Proverbs 21:1 (WEB), "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses." This means that God is the one who directs these peoples' motivations. Also, Romans 8:28 (WEB) tells us that:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose (29) For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. (30) Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified."
Another key verse is John 15:5 (WEB) which stands as a promise that Jesus will help us: "I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."
Therefore we pray:
Heavenly Father you are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus told the disciples that we are to pray for those who mistreat us, bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who exploit and persecute us. Therefore, we pray that in Jesus' name, you will help and save those legislators who are not acting in accord with your will for it is only by Jesus Christ and the name of Jesus that we can be saved. I John 5:14 tells us that if we ask anything according to your will that it will be done. In addition, John 16:24 tells us "Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." We can see that you have already put it in our hearts to pray for these legislators.
Father God, give us strength to fully obey you in persevering with love, patience, kindness, faith, and gentleness toward these legislators while at the same time pray for them to come to repentance if they are exercising ungodly judgements.
Thank you, Father God, for helping these legislators align their actions with your will. Thank you for using the evil things that our legislators are doing for our ultimate good, as you promise in Romans 8:28: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." We can rejoice today that these things will ultimately work out for good as we pray for these legislators. In Jesus Name.

Now let us turn attention to you, Anonymous. We rejoice that because you are addressing us about legislators we know that you can pray for these people who are in authority over you. If you cannot pray then you can comment below with your concerns for these people who are over your head and mistreating you, but any legitimate prayer must create faith by expressing belief in a certain outcome. (Romans 4:17, Hebrews 11:1, Hebrews 11:6, James 1:7-8 KJV or WEB)
Furthermore, we have more verses of scripture to rebuke and correct you that Jesus is the only way to be saved and to approach God. John 14:6 (WEB) tells us: "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Re-read the above prayer and see how we are relying only on the Name of Jesus Christ to save and give us access to God. The same thing is told to us in Acts 4:12 (WEB): "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Jesus told us in John 15:16 (WEB) "You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you."
Let the word of Jesus Christ live in our hearts and enable us to believe so that we can pray full of faith in the name of Jesus Christ.
