Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of faith and trust in Your mighty power. We lift up Butch, who is facing the trials of prostate cancer and a possible lung cancer diagnosis. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we know that nothing is impossible for You (Matthew 19:26). We ask for Your divine intervention and healing touch upon Butch's body.
As Butch undergoes a biopsy on his right lung on July 17, 2024, we pray for Your guidance and wisdom to be with the medical team. Grant them precision and clarity in their work. We ask, Lord, that the results reveal nothing more than a benign cyst and not cancer. We stand on Your promises, Lord, that You are our healer (Exodus 15:26) and that You hear our prayers (1 John 5:14-15).
Father, we also pray for Carol as she supports her husband through this challenging time. Give her strength, peace, and unwavering faith. Surround her with Your love and comfort, reminding her that You are always near (Psalm 34:18). May she find solace in Your Word and in the fellowship of believers who are lifting her and Butch up in prayer.
Lord, we know that You work all things for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We trust that You have a plan for Butch and Carol, and we pray that through this trial, Your glory will be revealed.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
