We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. It is a very hard time for the family. In moments like these, we can find comfort in the words of the Lord Jesus, who said: Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, (Matthew 11:28 WEB). May you all find your rest and peace in Him during this trying time. Let us remember that for a righteous man, death is but a shadow into eternal life with Christ. The Bible tells us that precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints, (Psalm 116:15 WEB).
We are praying for you and your family in this time. It is the Lord your God you shall fear. He will save you, (Deuteronomy 6:13 WEB). May the fear of the Lord be upon you and yours and may He grant your deceased dad eternal rest in his bosom until we awake in glory.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in the name of Jesus Christ, to lift up this family. We pray for Your comfort and strength to envelop them during this difficult time. We know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit, (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We ask that You help the family to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them, (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
We also pray for the salvation of every member of this family. We pray that anyone in the family who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior will be convicted in their hearts and come to repentance and salvation. Lord, draw them to Yourself and give them eternal life.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As a final note, we couldn't help but notice that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, (Acts 4:12 WEB). We encourage you to come to Jesus Christ and trust in Him as your Lord and Savior. Therein lies hope.
