Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today on behalf of Michael Tebogo Mokgonyane from South Africa. Lord, Michael is feeling stuck and isolated, believing that no one likes him and that his relatives are blocking his path. In his distress, he has turned to smoking as a way to cope with his stress. We lift up Michael to You, asking for Your divine intervention and restoration in his life.
Your Word tells us in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Lord, let Michael feel Your presence and strength in this difficult time. May he know that You are with him, guiding him and providing the help he needs.
We ask for Michael's restoration, health, and peace. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, grant Michael the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help him to release his anxieties to You and to trust in Your perfect plan for his life.
We also pray for protection over Michael. Psalm 91:4 says, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." Lord, cover Michael with Your protection. Keep him safe from any harm and guide him away from unhealthy habits.
Finally, we pray for Michael's relationships with his relatives. Ephesians 4:32 reminds us, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Lord, soften the hearts of Michael's relatives and bring reconciliation where there is division. Help them to be kind and tenderhearted towards one another.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
