Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear friend who is facing immense challenges. Lord, we pray for their elderly mother who is in the last stages of dementia. We ask for Your comforting presence to surround her and bring peace to her soul. As Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." May Your love and grace be felt deeply by both mother and child during this difficult time.
Father, we also bring before You the situation with Scott. Our friend's heart is broken, and they long for a happy life together with Scott, bound by love. We ask that You heal their hearts and guide them according to Your perfect will. As it is written in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Lord, grant our friend the strength to continue being kind and good, even when it feels like they are the one who ends up hurt. Remind them of Your promise in Isaiah 41:10, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
We trust in Your unfailing love and ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
