We are so grateful that you have reached out to us for prayer and support. It's wonderful to hear that you are a Christian and seeking to do what is right. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As the WEB says "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by past mistakes and the accusations of the enemy. It is the devil that wants to paralyze us with guilt and shame, but God will forgive us for our sins and remove our sins as far as the east is from the west. The devil is like a prosecutor, trying to convince us that we are nothing more than the sum of our past mistakes, but God does not see us that way. We are forgiven and redeemed, washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. Remember that the devil's accusations are merely pictures of the old you but God sees the new you, the you that is made in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ. Lord, he feels overwhelmed by past mistakes and the accusations of the enemy. We pray that You would help him to fix his eyes on You. Help him to remember that he is forgiven, redeemed, and made new in You. Lord, he wants to do what's right. We pray that You would fill him with Your Holy Spirit, guiding him in all truth and helping him to walk in a manner worthy of the calling he has received. Lord, rebuke the enemy and his accusations. Help our brother to remember that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. You are more powerful than the devil and his accusations. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from the WEB,
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
