Welar
Disciple of Prayer
Hi, I'm a 67 year old single Christian man who's requesting prayer for healing after two teeth were removed recently. A complication ensued: 6-1/2 days after the removal and at 1:00 a.m. the blood clot over the sockets came loose and my mouth filled with blood repeatedly. I applied direct pressure with bunches of gauze pads repeatedly but the bleeding continued. Drove myself to the oral surgeon's office when they opened at 7 a.m., was told to come back at 11 a.m. Went home and the bleeding worsened, and I got 'the shakes,' the beginning of shock. Drove myself to the ER but they couldn't stop the bleeding and aren't equipped to be able to the doctor told me, then drove back to the oral surgeon's again where a partner doctor sutured my gums after cleaning/packing the wound but he used self-dissolving stitches that may loosen soon and let the gums come apart and unstoppable bleeding could resume as soon as tomorrow (Sunday) when no oral surgeons' offices are open. My oral surgeon and his partner are both out of the office next week as well, so no more help from them if I need it soon. Their office would refer me out of town which is too far to drive myself while bleeding and while trying to find a new practice's location. My local church is at a distance; my house is too overcrowded/cluttered to have a group of elders come in to pray for me here (James 5); it's too cold to meet with elders on my front porch; my senior pastor is chronically sick himself and can't preach some Sundays due to pain and can't do anything 'extra'; at least one of the elders is elderly and so it's a lot to ask of him; and right now it's 9:00 p.m. on a Saturday night when I need prayer for healing and against another uncontrolled bleeding session and you can't be calling elders at this time of night ahead of Sunday morning services on short notice. My only local family are going out of town next week to tend to their own serious healthcare needs and will be unavailable. I have good but distant Christian friends who are praying for me and we communicate by email or phone, but several of them are seriously ill too (for months or years/decades). So I can't request James 5 prayer easily or anytime soon or at my home from my church elders, and the possible danger of renewed bleeding begins soon and my own oral surgery doctors are unavailable until Aoril 10th. If I bleed again on a Fri.-Sun. the only recourse is the ER where I already know they can't help me. Please pray the temporary stitches will hold long enough for my sockets to healwell enough that I won't face another unstoppable bleeding session that no one's available to fix and yet I have to find someone to fix pronto because uncontrollable bleeding is life-threatening. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR KIND PRAYERS FOR THIS STRANGER! 4/1/23 @ 9:15 p.m.
